Louiselle Two Bean Chili

Makes 8 servings (perfect for dinner then lunch on the weekend after a good snow shovel!)

Ingredients:

  • 1 can black beans
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 2 lbs. ground turkey
  • 2 onions – chopped
  • 1 green pepper – chopped
  • 2 35oz. cans Italian style tomatoes (I use one can chopped & 1 can diced because I like a chunkier chili – puree will give a more smooth chili)
  • 3 cloves garlic – crushed
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 flour
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire¬†sauce

Directions:

In large sauce pot over medium heat cook turkey, onions, green pepper, & garlic until turkey is brown. Drain excess fat. Stir in chili powder, paprika, cumin, oregano, salt & flour. Add tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, & beans. Reduce heat & simmer. Serve with grated cheddar cheese & soup crackers!
